Lori Hancock

Lori Hancock is the Associate Director for Planning and Institutional Research.  She is responsible for identifying meaningful and actionable research questions to support University planning and decision making and for conducting and coordinating research related to these questions.  As a senior member of the Department of Planning and Institutional Research’s staff, Lori serves as a resource to other PIR staff members, as well as to the University at large.

Prior to assuming this role, Lori served as Director of Institutional Research at Mott Community College (2011 – 2017) in Flint, MI, with responsibility for research, reporting, and analysis in support of student success initiatives, strategic planning, accreditation, and compliance.  Lori also served as the Associate Director of Admissions for Research and Analysis at the University of Michigan – Flint (2009 – 2010) as well as Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Saginaw Valley State University.  Before entering the field of higher education, Lori held positions at General Motors and Delphi Automotive, with primary focus on strategic business planning, business analysis, and process engineering.

Lori holds an M.S. in Information Technology and B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University.
